Front SightFront Sight: The First and Only of Its KindFront Sight Firearms Training Institute isn't a terribly well-known place. It's well-spoken of among those who know it. It's got a remarkable program, and a truly visionary director, but it's not a name that every American knows. Articles like this one in the New York Times show that Front Sight, though not on every citizen's lips, is well on its way to being there. Dr. Ignatius Piazza is the founder and director of Front Sight, and it is with his steady hand that Front Sight is moving steadily toward his goal: education all of America in safe, responsible, effective gun use. We won't even go into how well Dr. Piazza is using that adjective which has somehow become a dirty word in America: ‘responsible', and instead take a look at what Dr. Ignatius Piazza has in mind for his revolutionary shooting school. For Front Sight is truly a firearms training institute like no other. Dr. Piazza's primary goal with Front Sight is to create a luxury residential community. That's right, a gated community for a shooting school. 550 acres were put aside for the entire area of Front Sight and lots were divided for his investors who were ready to buy and build on the one-acre land spots. Dr. Ignatius Piazza has lofty goals that reach far beyond just a residential community, however. His hopes for Front Sight are being reached daily, for Front Sight now boasts a 12,000 square foot martial arts gymnasium, a five-story SWAT-tactics training tower, twelve firing ranges, hundreds of yards of underground training areas for work with close-quarters, low-light and stairwell training. Front Sight has left all other shooting schools behind. Front Sight is a shooting school that has evolved to the next level: it is now a sprawling complex, complete with anything a gun user needs or could want, especially firearms training.
