Front Sight Firearms Training Institute has been featured in many news periodicals and magazines, often for its extensive rifle training, handgun training or shotgun training. As of late, however, Dr. Ignatius Piazza, the founder and director of Front Sight, and Front Sight have been getting a lot of extra coverage because of the new development at the Front Sight site near Las Vegas, Nevada.

Featured recently in New York Times, Front Sight isn't making headlines because of its stellar firearms training for a change, but instead for their brand new idea for gun training delivery. Front Sight hopes to change its site near Las Vegas, Nevada into the world's first gun town. Never before has an idea like the one that struck Dr. Piazza been acted upon. To build the world's safest town, to build a town where everyone could be safe, he knew that he would need to think up and act upon something unlike anything before. Therefore he decided to build the world's first gated residential community anchored not around golf courses or racquet clubs, but firing ranges.

Front Sight is certainly well known for its firing ranges, and now it will be well known for its spacious one-acre lots of land, 5-story SWAT training tower, airstrip and church and school. Its safety and crime record will probably be aother aspect to put Front Sight on the map. Can you imagine a town safer than one that is guarded by its own responsible, trained, gun-using citizens? What criminal would try anything in a town where everyone is known to be armed and trained. And it's precisely that which Dr. Piazza would encourage his residents: arm yourself! Get trained and handle yourself well!

The courses available at Front LSight would still be available to all public, there would just be an ultra-safe town surrounding and protecting the visitors now.
