Shotgun training is a subject normally left to SWAT members, police officers and Armed Forces personnel. But Front Sight, the nation's largest firearms training school, is aware of the need to be extensively trained in every aspect of firearms training to be trained in ANY aspect of firearms training. Front Sight is a bit like a liberal arts college of shooting schools. While they certainly have an extensive course schedule in each field, Front Sight encourages each student who comes to their door to train in a wide array of shooting techniques, objectives and styles. As such, while handgun training is the most popular gun training, Front Sight offers extensive training in not only handgun training, but also shotgun training, rifle training, special pistol training, armed and unarmed self defense training, even submachine gun training.

Front Sight has an extremely extensive regimen, that much is obvious. But where does all this data come from? The founder and director of Front Sight, Dr. Ignatius Piazza, is the source for the vast majority of the training material and courses. Dr. Piazza is a Four Weapons Combat Master, one of the most difficult training certifications to ever reach. In fact, at the time of his successfully receiving the accreditation, Dr. Piazza was the second person to ever successfully become a Four Weapons Combat Master, despite the fact that the test had been published for nearly twelve years at the time.

The Four Weapons Combat Master test tries the skills of the would-be master in pistol, special pistol, shotgun and rifle. And while Dr. Piazza had never had any prior experience with firearms training or gun use, when he decided to be the best of the best and make the world's finest gun training school, he spent weeks, months and years training and compiling the data until it became the finest set of firearms training extant, Front Sight's training regimen.
